Alumnus Lukas Dhont's first full-length film, Girl, is selected for the Cannes Film Festival. Lukas graduated from the master programme in film in 2014 with the short L'Infini. Girl will have its world premiere in Cannes and will compete for the Prix Un Certain Regard, as well as the Caméra d’Or prize for best debut feature. This is the first time in 29 years that a Flemish film has been selected for Un Certain Regard.
Determined 15-year-old Lara is committed to becoming a professional ballerina. With the support of her father, she throws herself into this quest for the absolute at a new school.
