Over the past few months higher art education has had to adapt enormously to the new situation. The lockdown and low contact education forced us to quickly introduce many new educational and working methods.
Despite many efforts from lecturers and students it is clear that a radical digitisation of our education and that working and living on a low contact campus resulted in many discomfort and challenges. In its daily functioning, committees, departments and deanery have been working constantly in order to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone.
In this aspect however, we are convinced that there are many other people with great ideas. We therefore decided to reinforce and develop this potential by supporting a number of projects that start from the question on how art education and art schools can flourish in times of corona. The Art Research Fund will provide € 50,000 in research funds to implement great, creative ideas of lecturers and students on how art education and art schools can motivate and inspire during covid times.
All staff members and students can submit project proposals, both individually and in groups. These proposals can use, of course, various approaches: pedagogical, practical-organisational, communicative, community-oriented, etc.
Deadline for project proposal submissions is 13 September 2020. Using the template is mandatory.
Projects can start from the beginning of October 2020.
