Bart Lodewijks draws. Volatile drawings on walls, in streets, in villages and in people's homes. Straight limestone lines one after the other that eventually run around the world. The chalk lines are straight, because that is the shortest possible connection between two points. It is one drawing, one that never comes to an end. While drawing he meets people. People with whom he talks, about their lives, about his life and about the lines he draws. When the stripes are rained away, the stories remain, captured in publications or recounted in lectures or films. The stories reveal what would have remained invisible without a chalk drawing. This results in a storytelling analysis of the places where the drawing lands.
